- a modern take on "Make do and Mend" for a sustainable future.

Time & Location
07 May 2025, 10:30 – 12:00
Jesmond, St George's Terrace, Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 2DL, UK
About the event
Listen to Lindsay Cross talking about the Repair Café at Jesmond United Reformed Church, share memories of wartime and postwar solutions, and be inspired to bring out your darning needles, sewing machine or workshop tools.
Get your broken items repaired, rather than replaced, but if you are getting rid of them, make sure that you recycle when you can.
Wellbeing for Life meetings normally take place on the first Wednesday of each month, in Jesmond Library. Each month's meeting has a different theme, all within the overall context of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
All are welcome to join us, but the meetings are primarily for older people. Refreshments are provided and the Community Minibus may be available if transport is an issue for you.
Tickets are not required. Attendance is free, but donations help cover the cost of refreshments.
