Elders Council of Newcastle

I started working with the Elders Council in January 2021 as a secondment from Search and was fortunate to be offered the post of development worker in August 2021.  My job is to work alongside the Board of Trustees and Executive Officer to develop the organisation, increase and diversify engagement with older people and build the capacity of active members to deliver our work.  I have a background in community development, health work and voluntary sector management.

I am passionate about social justice, giving people a voice, working with older people and tackling inequality. 

I live in Whitley Bay with my 2 teenage sons and I enjoy the great outdoors, long walks and a bit of running.
