Age Proud Network
The focus for 2022 is ImAGE #AgeProudNewcastle. This is a citywide festival of activities and events across throughout October co-ordinated by the Elders Council and the Age Proud Network. You can download the brochure here.

The Age Proud Network brings together organisations and older people in Newcastle to discuss the issues that older people have told us are important to them so we can work in partnership across the city and challenge ageism. There are 90 members of the Age Proud Network representing 40 organisations and including 15 volunteers and individual older people.

In 2021 we organised an Older People’s Day Celebration Event at Newcastle City Library. The Age Proud network organisations involved included Elders Council, Newcastle City Council, Equal Arts, Dance City, and Search.
