The Elders Council is a group of people who are interested in having a say about how to make Newcastle a great city in which to grow old. We do this in a variety of ways - peer research, arts projects, focus groups and regular meetings with service providers and policymakers.
So we know you will never be old, but just in case can we talk about it?
Do you want to use your time differently? Are you looking for ways to manage changes in your life? Would you like to get more involved in your local community? If you can answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions, our Active Voices course is just the thing for you. In a series of informal sessions, you will have the opportunity to explore these questions with others. People who have taken part in previous courses have really enjoyed them and reported that they feel more confident about taking up new opportunities. The course will run for 6 weeks starting on Thursday 7th March 10.30 am – 2.00 pm (light lunch included). And it’s FREE! To book your place, contact [email protected] or call 0191 208 2701.
